Our boiler is 2 years old and we use 1300 litres a year - £915. Winter time, using the heating, hot water and cooking for about 3-4 hours per day, I use 1000 litres in 3 months. My boiler is supposed to be very efficient for it's type. I guess 10 -12 litres a day would not be unusual. Pants is'nt espeically with oil over 40p a litre. when I lived there it was between 800-1000 per year ( one really cold year was closer to 1100) with oil furnace and hot water based on that with home heating oil costing AROUND $4/gallon you can expect a yearly heating cost of 4000 or 333/a month hope this helps
