If you want to do prop trading, or get proprietary trading jobs, you don't necessarily need a degree or diploma. Of course, if you are still at school it is HIGHLY recommended that you take an MBA program with finance as an emphasis, or get a master's in financial engineering to make sure you have the skills necessary.
